2025 Coaching Staff
Caroline Ling - Blue Team
Caroline is a 2024 Springboro alum, where she holds countless school records and accolades including: 561 career goals, 158 career assists, 446 career draw controls, Ohio Attacker of the Year 2023-2024, Team Captain, and three-time USA Lacrosse High School Girls All-American 2022-2024. She appeared in 15 games during her freshman 2025 season at Rutgers. During her first season, she scored 15 goals, completed 5 assists, and had several multi-goal games, including a hat trick against University of Michigan.
Caroline has coached with SOGO since 2024 and has been a leader within her team from a young age. She continuously gets the best out of her players. She brings a wealth of knowledge from her field experience, officiating training, recruitment experience, and lacrosse IQ.
Fun Fact: She loves her Kanes, and is rarely caught wearing anything else!
Emma DeWeese - Blue Team
Emma is a 2023 Bellbrook Alum, where she played 3 years of Varsity (2021, 2022, 2023) as a defensemen. During her 2024 season, she appeared in 16 games, and started 11 games at Marietta College. She also forced 5 turn overs and controlled 11 ground balls. She is studying Middle Childhood Education/Special Education with a focus in Coaching.
Emma enjoys working with the girls, and really excels at portraying concepts and ideas to the players so they translate on the field. She pushes the girls to work hard, but also creates a fun, energetic environment. Her goal for SOGO is to create a strong team culture and provide the players with the confidence and skills they need to be successful on the field, and in life. She is a great asset to the coaching team!
Fun Fact: She loves neon colors and also jumped on the Kane Train
Claire Bauer - Yellow Team
Claire is a 2022 Mason Alum, where she played defense for their varsity team. She is currently studying Engineering, pre-medicine at University of Dayton. She has coached for SOGO since 2022, and loves working with the middle school team. Claire helps teach the team the basics and foundations for strong, smart lacrosse. She is great at balancing organized drills with skill-focused lacrosse games, to make learning fun for the players. She has also coached local youth teams during the spring season, while balancing her school work.
Fun Fact: Claire just took her MCAT and is applying to medical school soon!
Payton Davis - Yellow Team
Payton is a 2025 Springboro Alum, where she played primarily attack, but has spent time at each position. She also served as Team Captain her senior year. She will be playing for Thomas More University this fall. As a coach, she wants to prepare her players for long and successful lacrosse careers, teach new skills, and build lacrosse IQ. She hopes to pass on her love for the sport to the younger girls and help grow the game. This is her first year coaching, and she looks forward to how this experience will help her grow as a player.
Fun Fact: Payton first started playing lacrosse in 8th grade and is excited to work with players the same age she was when she picked up a stick!
